It was attended by 32 Chamber members and non-members.

Based on a similar principle to speed dating, members get 90 seconds to put their business pitch to the person seated opposite and when the whistle blows, one moves to the next seat and starts again.

A great evening’s networking was achieved; event sponsor, Annette McIvor from McDonalds, said “she was delighted to help support Derry’s vibrant business community”.

Chamber of Commerce chief executive Sinead McLaughlin said: “’Speed networking’ is based on the same principle as speed dating. Members get 90 seconds to put forward their business pitch to the person seated opposite. When the whistle blows, one of the people moves to the next seat and starts again.

“We hope that long standing ‘business relationships’ will have been established and a few deals done. The Chamber thanks our members for their commitment to working together to achieve our collective commercial goals.”
