Gary was pleased with how his team started the game, but admitted that after Tobermore equalised from the spot, Johnny Law's team threw everything at his visiting Portstewart side.

"We have played Tobermore three times this season, and we've given them three penalties.

"I'm not disputing the decision, because it was a penalty, but up until this I felt we were in control.

"When they equalised they threw everything at us, but we defended well."

In the second half Portstewart pushed forward and went 3-1 ahead.

"I'm pleased that we're scoring goals.

"Young Cahir Friel scored his second in two weeks. He's looking sharp. Owen Peden took his goal well and Graham Vauls did well with his.

"At the other end we're starting to stand up for ourselves, James Peden and Craig Ramsey are working really well together, so I'm pleased," admitted Gary.

Portstewart have a free week this Saturday, and Taylor is glad of the break: "We have a number of players with slight knocks, so the free week will give them time to rest. We then have two tough away games against Lurgan Celtic and Queen's in the next week, so the break will do us no harm," said Taylor.
