Tribute was paid by Gloria to Jean Hunter who passed away the previous week. Jean had been a faithful member of the Institute over many years, serving on Committee in her earlier years. Her cheery smile and friendly personality are sadly missed by her friends in the Institute.

Points are awarded each month to the competition winner and this year the person with the highest points was Mildred Adams who received the Carlisle Cup. Voting for the Friendship Cup resulted in a draw - with Irene Lyttle and Gloria Wallace sharing the cup.
