Charades, amusing poems and quizzes at Portrush WI

Vice-President, Eileen Caldwell of Portrush Women’s Institute welcomed members to their May meeting with a special welcome to David Conley who received a cheque in aid of Portrush RNLI.

A warm welcome was also given to new member Evie Drennan. Members entertained the committee with charades, amusing poems and quizzes.

The competition, ‘an old game’ was won by Margaret McCullough with her bag of marbles and the birthday girl was Irene McNeill. Congratulations were extended to the winners who received three firsts and 1 third for Baking and Floral Art at Balmoral Show. After a delicious supper a vote of thanks was given by Eileen McCreanor .

Eileen Caldwell hoped the ladies would have a great summer break and looked forward to meeting up again in September.

Portrush WI ladies would be delighted to welcome new members to their meeting on 28th September. They meet the fourth Monday of each month at 7.30pm in Portrush Masonic Hall, Dunluce Avenue.
