Charged with assault
POLICE probing reports of two drunk men riding a bicycle in Taghnevan have charged an 18-year-old.
Police were responding to an incident on the Old Portadown Road on Tuesday after they heard about ‘intoxicated males riding a bicycle’ in the area.
An 18-year-old man was arrested.
He has been charged with assault on police, resisting police and being simple drunk and will appear before Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on 19 April.
As is normal procedure, the charge will be reviewed by the PPS.
