Charged with blackmail

Samual David McCoo (28), whose address was given as Granville Road, Portadown, appeared at a preliminary enquiry last Friday at Craigavon courthouse.

The charge against him alleges that between August 11 and August 15 last year with a view to gain for himself or another and with intent to cause loss to another he made an unwarranted demand of monies from a man.

McCoo was remanded on his own bail of £500 to appear for arraignment at Craigavon Crown Court on May 19.
