Charged with burglary and attempted GBH

A 31-year-old man has been remanded in custody on a series of charges including burglary and attempted grievous bodily harm.

Andrew David Boyd, whose address was given as Hoop Hill Park, Lurgan, appeared in the dock last Friday at Craigavon Magistrates Court.

He was charged with burglary with intent to steal at Moore’s Meats, Annesborough Industrial Estate, on April 28 this year, possession of an offensive weapon, a screwdriver, and attempted grievous bodily harm on a male.

Boyd is further charged with driving without insurance and handling stolen goods, namely a Land Rover Defender.

The investigating officer on the case told the court he believed he could connect the defendant with the charges.

No bail application was made and Boyd was remanded in custody to appear by way of videolink at Craigavon court on May 27.
