Charities are set to benefit from opening of new store

The Money Shop, a leading provider of consumer finance has announced a complete refresh of its store in Lisburn, along with a change in location.

The concept store opened on the Market Place in Lisburn on Tuesday 19th July, and is one of a number of improvements being implemented across the business.

The changes are intended to ensure customers continue to receive the highest quality service in a newly designed, relaxed environment with all their needs accommodated under one-roof.

The new store design is a direct response to the feedback customers had given to staff.

Improvements include: A brand new loan and application zone where customers can discuss their finances in comfort and confidence with The Money Shop’s expert staff

And a separate counter area for general requests, including a fast-track service for currency and money-transfers.

These improvements have been fitted by local firm, Edge Design, based only minutes from the new store at 15 Market Place.

As part of the concept store’s opening, The Money Shop has also partnered with three local charities, Shopmobility Lisburn, Lisburn 2gether Special Olympics Club and Community Circus Lisburn.

All customers in the first month will have the opportunity to vote for their preferred charity to receive a £1,000 donation, with both runners up receiving £500 each.

Shaun Cassidy, Regional Director of Lisburn 2Gether Special Olympics and Special Olympics Ulster, said: “Lisburn 2gether and Special Olympics Ulster and are delighted to have been selected as one of the Money Shop’s three charity partners.

“The generosity of the public and businesses such as the Money Shop is vital to allow us to continue with the delivery and development of all of our Special Olympics programmes.”

Helen Ashton, Project Manager, Community Circus Lisburn, said: “Community Circus Lisburn are delighted to have been selected as one of the community support organisations. We have been working with young people and communities in Lisburn for over a decade, and continue to bring people together though learning circus arts.

“Funding allows us to run our weekly workshops, which are held on Tuesday nights at the ISLAND Arts Centre. We also hope to purchase new equipment.”
