Charities benefit from Rotary Club

WITH the conclusion of this years Charity Breakfast Ballymoney Rotary Club has once again been able to distribute over £10,500 to several Charities both local and international.

This has only been possible due to the continued generosity of friends of Rotary and the local community.

At a recent meeting two cheques of £1,000 each were handed out to local branches of Northern Ireland Hospice and McMillan Cancer Support.

Other local charities that have received financial support from the club in the last 12 months are Salvation Army, St Vincent de Paul, Cheers Youth Club, Cruse, St John Ambulance, RNIB, Abbeyfield, Wave, Robinson Memorial Hospital and Breath Easy Causeway.

International Charities recognised by Rotary International which benefited are Haiti Prosthetic Limb Appeal, Project Rombo, Wateraid and The Rotary Foundation. The latter is Rotary International‘s own Charity which provides many matching grants to 3rd world projects and runs a vast array of travel and educational bursaries to non Rotarians young and old.
