Charity Cha Cha Slide for Diabetes UK
Hundreds of Cha Cha lovers converged on the Peace Bridge on Saturday to raise money for the charity Diabetes UK.
Diabetes UK is the chosen charity this year for Tesco, who hosted the event and, despite gale force gusts of wind, torrential rain and the freezing weather there was no damping the enthusiasm of participants who posed for official photographs before taking part in the dance.
There were t-shirts and sashes for the participants and even Bugs Bunny and Sonic the hedgehog made paid a visit and did a little collecting for the worthy cause.
