Charity effort to be a tribute to James

A local charity - Outlook - is organising an event on Saturday October 3 to remember James Judge, their Treasurer and former member, who sadly passed away at the end of July.

As a tribute to James, who supported many organisations including Outlook, Lisburn in Focus, RNIB and Guide Dogs, people who knew him will come together to walk, talk and tandem cycle at the Racecourse at Down Royal.

James was registered blind but enjoyed as many activities as he could find the time for, including walking, tandem cycling, yoga, self defence, as well as all the outings and visits that were organised by the various charities.

Margaret Mann, Chairperson of Outlook, commented; “James loved walking, talking, cycling, talking, eating and talking, so we felt it would be appropriate to do all those things with him in our thoughts.

“James was a committee member, our Treasurer, until he became ill and he also attended pretty much every event we organised to give his support.

“He was an energetic character and is sadly missed by the committee and wider Outlook membership.”

Please come along to Gowdy’s at Down Royal from 11.30am with no obligation to do anything more than talk.
