Organised by local youth Christopher White, in conjunction with a new charity, Hopeful Hearts, the fundraising quiz netted some £400.

Said Christopher: “We had a great night: the area allocated to us was packed and we had more teams in the bar area.

“We had donations for raffle prizes from Europa Hotel, Quails, Brownes, Johnsons Pharmacy, Via Wings and many others.

“On the night we raised £387 but we had later donations so now we have over £400 raised, and this will be contributing to the Christmas dinner our school principal in Uganda, Benard, is organising for the pupils and their graduation ceremony.

“This was a monumental night for us at Hopeful Hearts as we managed to convey our mission and charity to Dromore for the first time.

“Thanks goes out to Damian at Boyles. Diane (charity chairperson) and myself are greatly thankful for all the donations whether that was for the raffle or monetary.

“We are extremely overwhelmed by the turnout.
