Charity night raises funds for Marie Curie

The season of good will was felt by all when a fundraising night was held for Marie Curie recently at the Songbird Cafe, at the Ballinderry Inn.

The event raised £770, and guests were entertained throughout the evening with popular songs of Neil Diamond, Nora Jones and the Blues Brothers flowing as freely as did the donations to Marie Curie.

One of the event organisers, Anna Murphy said, “We were touched by the generosity of the people who filled the room and grateful to local businesses who donated some of their stock to the ballot and auction.”

The team hope to organise another Songbird Cafe on March 4 next year and are inviting local artists to perform. Tel A A Music - 028 92 610634.
