Charity says thank you for Christmas fundraiser success

The Londonderry Save the Children volunteer committee have thanked those who supported their Carol Singing event in Foyleside Shopping Centre in December, which raised much needed money for the Refugee Children Crisis Appeal.

It raised £2,346.61 was raised.

The committee particularly thanked Fergal Rafferty, Foyleside manager and his staff for facilitating the event and for providing treats for the schoolchildren who participated, as well as the U3A choir and the shoppers who donated to the appeal.

All the money raised from the five-day appeal will go directly to the Child Refugee Crisis Appeal to buy food, water, shelter, warm clothes and medical supplies.

Save the Children also puts in place a range of practical and emotional support for those children in their destination countries.
