Charity tournament for Aaron

THE charity five-aside football tournament for little Aaron Gilmore takes place this week from August 8 until August 12 at Iveagh Park in Rathfriland.

The toddler recently underwent major reconstructive surgery on his skull. This surgery could not be performed in Northern Ireland and his parents David and Jenny Gilmore had to travel to Oxford in England. A charity, Ronald McDonald House provided free accommodation for his parents in the hospital building for a week and they wish to thank this charity organisation through fundraising. All funds raised will go to Ronald McDonald House and the John Radcliffe Craniofacial unit in Oxford who performed the operation.

The Moneyslane family wish little Aaron well in the future and would strongly encourage all sections of the community to get along to Iveagh Park and would ask for as many teams as possible from the Men’s, Ladies and Juniors to attend and lend your support. There will be refreshments available to purchase on the night. To enter teams (at £30 per team) please call David Gilmore on 07729201747 or Jenny Gilmore on 07525217250. Kick-off at 7pm.
