Chest, Heart and Stroke speaker at WI
MAZE/BROOKFIELD: Maze Brookfield WI president Barbara McClenahan welcomed the speaker Julie McGinnis who represented the Chest, Heart and Stroke Association to the March meeting.
Julie gave a very informative talk and explained that the Association’s aim is to promote the prevention and alleviate the suffering resulting from chest, heart and stroke illnesses and encouraged everyone to have a healthy diet and plenty of exercise.
The competition for a limerick was won by Florence Beacom, 2nd Pauline Johnstone and 3rd Esther Law. A delicious supper was served and the evening closed with A Countrywomen’s Song.
