Child [12] finds bag of drugs in Coalisland

It is understood the drugs were found the child in the Ardnaskea Park area of the town.

Police are still trying to establish where the drugs came from. Police carried out follow up searches in the area.

“These people obviously do not care about the community. On this occasion, the child told an adult what they had found, but the circumstances could have been very different. Police would urge anyone who has knowledge of illegal drugs circulating to contact them immediately,” said a police spokesperson.
