Child hospitalised in Feeney road crash

A child has been hospitalised with “serious head injuries” after a car crash in Feeney involving one vehicle, the PSNI have confirmed.

A police spokesperson said: “Police are advising motorists that the Mullaghmesh Road, Feeney is closed at its junction with the Glenshane Road and the Ballyhanedin Road following a serious one vehicle Road Traffic Collision yesterday afternoon, Sunday 23 February.

“As a result of the accident one child has been taken to hospital for treatment for serious head injuries.

Diversions are in place and motorists are advised to seek alternative routes were possible.

“Police would appeal to anyone who was travelling along the Mullaghmesh Road, Feeney at around 2.55 pm yesterday afternoon and witnessed the accident to contact police at Limavady on 08456008000.”
