Child treated for smoke inhalation after petrol bomb attack

DETECTIVES in Lisburn are appealing for information after a seven-year-old girl had to be treated for smoke inhalation following a petrol bomb incident at a house in the Colinvale area of Dunmurry in the early hours of Sunday morning.

At around 2.30am it was reported that a suspected petrol bomb was placed at the front of the house. Smoke damage was caused to the front door.

A woman and a child were in the house at the time. The young girl was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene, however she did not require hospital treatment. The female was uninjured.

Police would like to speak to a man who got into a taxi shortly after this incident and also any taxi driver in the Colinvale area around this time, as they may be able to help them with their enquiries.
