Childminding Play Sessions at West Bann

COLERAINE Sure Start Partnership has announced the launch of its 'Childminding Play Sessions' in partnership with NICMA –the Childminding Association.

Michelle McNicholl, NICMA Childminding Network Co-ordinator and Linda Foote Early Years Co-ordinator for Sure Start will be leading the play sessions.

The aim of the sessions is to promote childminder’s awareness of children’s early development through play and everyday activities.

In some cases a child may spend more time in the childminder’s home than their own, therefore it is so important that the child’s developmental needs are being met in the childminder’s setting.

The play sessions will start in West Bann Development Centre on Thursday, February 4 from 10-11am and will run for four weeks. Each month the sessions will then be delivered in different Sure Start areas.
