Chinese banquet raises £2,300 for Action MS

A TRADITIONAL Chinese Banquet in Lisburn’s Beijing Restaurant has raised £2,300 for multiple sclerosis charity, Action MS.

Patricia Webber from Action MS and VIP guest Lagan Valley MP Jeffrey Donaldson thanked Yu Wang of the Beijing Restaurant for the donation after the money was raised at a traditional 18-course Chinese Banquet last October.

The evening included a wine reception and a display of traditional Chinese Lion Dancing.

Patricia Webber of Action MS thanked all of the people and local Action MS members who supported the evening. “I would like to thank Yu Wang of the Beijing Restaurant for hosting the evening in aid of Action MS,” she said. “Thanks to his generosity all money raised on the night will be used to support people living with MS in your local area.

Mr Donaldson added: “I greatly enjoyed the Chinese Banquet and I am greatly impressed at the generosity shown by Yu Wang and the Beijing Restaurant in supporting this hard-working local charity.”
