Choir date set for Ravenhill

RAVENHILL, home of Ulster rugby, will be transformed into a different kind of setting when it hosts the Metropolitan Tabernacle, North Belfast who are organising an evangelic evening of Christian worship.

The event, which is expected to attract thousands of people will take the theme ‘God’s answer to our problems’.

Senior pastor of the Tabernacle Dr James McConnell will lead the event and said he would like to see the stadium filled to capacity.

He said: “I am told Ravenhill attracts about 8,000 people on average for Ulster’s home games. It would be amazing if we could double that.

Worship will be led by the Whitewell Praise Band, along with performances from the Tabernacle Choir, the Blaze drama team, the Junior Choir and Simple Faith."

Pastor McConnell added: “The reason for this rally is to bring hope, light and joy to many people who are depressed, distressed or struggling and who have no one to turn to for help and consolation."

Admission to the event is free and everyone is welcome.
