Christ Church Mothers’ Union notes

THE members of Christ Church, Limavady, Mothers’ Union met in the church hall on Wednesday, November 2.

Heather Houston, the Branch Secretary, welcomed everyone and gave a special welcome to Rev Diane Matchett, guest speaker for the evening.

After opening prayers, Rev Matchett gave a most interesting and inspirational talk on her childhood and work in the ministry.

The vote of thanks was proposed by Heather Clements.

A delicious supper was served by Sarah Dolan, Jackie Smyth and Annie Crowmains.

A business meeting followed and members were given the opportunity to buy Christmas items at the MU Shop, organised by Heather Houston.

It is planned to produce a recipe book in the New Year and members have been asked for favourite recipes by January 2012.

The meeting ended with the saying of The Grace led by Elaine Grant Branch Leader.

The next meeting is on Wednesday, December 7.
