The landmark coincides with the movement’s 100th convention to be held on Friday September 19 and Saturday September 20 at Immanuel Presbyterian Church at Agnes Street in the city.

This venue was chosen as this was where the first CE Society in Ireland was formed by Margaret Magill.

Christian Endeavour is an “interdenominational, international, do it yourself organisation training and equipping children and young people for leadership roles in the church as they help organise and keenly take some active part in every meeting”. There are societies for all age groups, including older people.

CE’s motto, “For Christ and the Church” is the Convention theme. The main speaker will be Craig Dyer, training director of Christianity Explored.

Jean McGall, from Second Broughshane Presbyterian Church, will be installed as president on this momentous occasion.

Everyone will be welcome to attend the rallies at 7.30 pm on both evenings when Craig Dyer will speak.
