Christian unity event

TO commemorate the week of prayer for Christian unity, a group of Christians from both traditions in the Larne borough has organised a service for this Sunday, January 24 at 3m in Larne Leisure Centre

The theme is taken from Luke's gospel ch 24 v 48: ''You are witnesses of these things'' and an interesting programme is in place for the event.

There will be special music and prayers with contributions from the various churches in the area. The guest speaker is the new Salvation Army minister, Envoy Sue Whitla.

Refreshments will be served afterwards and all interested are encouraged to go along and bring a friend to be part of this demonstration of being ''One in Christ Jesus''.

The regular intercessory prayer evening for Larne and district resumes in February.
