Christmas concert

The Guildhall was ringing with festive tunes on Sunday as the Mayor of Londonderry, Brenda Stevenson’s annual Christmas Concert got underway.
Christina Kelly from St. Ceciulia's College and Abigail Mccaul Prazeres from St. Mary's College who perform with the City of Derry Junior Choir and joined the Mayor, Councillor Brenda Stevenson for her annual Charity Concert in Derry's Guildhall in aid of Something Special and Circle of Support. Some of the city’s best choirs and musicians took to the stage for a magical evening of music and song.

Proceeds from the musical celebration were collected for the Mayor’s two chosen charities, Something Special and Circle of Support for Autism Families.

Something special is an organisation which sets out to advance the educational opportunities for people with learning disabilities.

Circle of support is a group which was set up in 2011 in order to support families with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

There were some spectacular performances on the night by Codetta, the City of Derry Junior and Youth choirs, and also live orchestra and solo performances.
