‘Christmas in August’ appeal with Melinda Messenger

It may still be August, but Christmas is coming early to the Barnardo’s stores in Ballymoney with launch of its ‘Christmas in August’ appeal.

Model-turned-TV-presenter Melinda Messenger said: “As a Barnardo’s Ambassador I am proud to be supporting the August call for donations of unwanted winter woollies and Christmas gifts in a bid to make this Christmas a bumper year.

“Barnardo’s Ballymoney depends on the income from its shops to support its work with children and young people across Northern Ireland who are less-advantaged. The Christmas in August appeal, is asking local readers to look through their wardrobes for Winter woollies, coats, scarves, heavy clothing and accessories, Christmas gifts, brick-a-brac and household items, festive clothes, shoes and boots.
