Church group helps to make a difference

A GROUP of people from Dunmurry Presbyterian Church recently took part in a litter pick around the car park on the Glenburn Road and into Jubillee Park.

This was spear-headed by Mervyn Nicholl, a member of the church and also a Dunmurry resident. Mervyn had noticed when walking his dog how much litter was lying about and felt that along with some other people they could make a difference to the area.

Around 25 bags of rubbish were lifted that evening and afterwards everyone enjoyed a cup of tea in the church to round the evening off. It is hoped that this will become something that the church can do again as everyone involved thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
