Church hall attacked

POLICE in Ballycastle don't believe that an attack on a Church hall in Armoy was sectarian.

Three windows were broken at the Presbyterian Church hall in the village on Monday of last week around 8 p.m. at night.

According to Inspector Bryan Hume, police think that it is likely to be a case of criminal damage rather than having a sectarian element to it.

Police are appealing for information and are also appealing for an end to anti-social behaviour at a fast food takeaway in Armoy.

Inspector Hume said the PSNI had been alerted to the situation by a local councillor.

“We would appeal to parents to make sure they know where their children are at night,” Inspector Hume said.

Anyone with information on the attack on the church hall is asked to contact 0845 600 8000 or Crimestoppers on freephone 0800 555 111.
