Church of God children's prize day

CHILDREN'S ministry from Creche to Teen study is an extensive and integral part of church life in Ballymoney Church of God.

The work is supported by a team of 17 teachers who have a passion for the Gospel message and treat every child as an individual.

Children's prize day is an annual event and this year the church was filled to capacity as parents and friends gathered to see their little ones and teenagers minister in word and song.

Pastor Jonathan Payne gave a warm welcome, praised the children and thanked the parents for their faithfulness each week. He then went on to thank the teachers for all their hard work and dedication to Children's Ministry.

The young people from Junior Church gave a wonderful morning service. This provided the opportunity for up and coming musicians, poets and actors to showcase their giftings and talents! The young people also used drama as a powerful medium to challenge and inspire the congregation.

In the evening, the children from the Creche department were the youngest to take part, some of them being just 15 to 18 months old. They starred in their very own video production highlighting the choruses and prayers that are part of their usual Sunday morning session.

Then came the Nursery Department who treated the congregation to a feast of singing and a wonderful percussion band! The boys and girls sang with such enthusiasm and pride - they certainly made a joyful noise unto God.

Next it was the Children's Church who used the theme of creation as the backdrop for all their singing, poety and drama.

Finally, the young people and children all received prizes for their hard work over the past session together with certificates of excellence for those with outstanding attendance.

At the close of the evening service Pator Yvonne Payne invited everyone who had taken part morning and evening to join her on the platform for the closing worship. The entire day was soaked in a spirit of excellence with everyone doing their part and giving of their best for God's service.
