Church prepares for major event

WARINGSTOWN Presbyterian Church have been busy over the last few months preparing for a major community awareness event in the church and the surrounding grounds on Saturday from 11am to 4pm.

The day will be the climax of the young people of the Presbyterian Church and Holy Trinity’s Glo week.

There is something for all the family with live music, puppet shows, bouncy castles and much more. Tea, coffee and refreshments will be served during the event and there will be a free barbecue from midday to 2.30pm.

The church family are taking the opportunity to showcase the many activities and ministries which it runs for the benefit of the community. In addition there will be a prayer room where people can be prayed for.

Those in Waringstown Presbyterian Church are delighted to invite the community to discover more about a church that wants to be in the heart of it.

Rev Philip Thompson, Minister of Waringstown Presbyterian Church, like others is looking forward to the event and the potential outreach it will provide.

He said: “We are so excited about this opportunity to show people who we are and what we are about. As followers of Jesus, our desire is to tell people the good news about him. Afterglo will give people the chance to see the many ways in which we do that. We will be delighted to welcome you and your family along to this special day.”
