Church roof lead is stolen
Police at Strand Road have appealed for information following the theft of lead from the roof of St Columba’s Church, Longtower Street in the city.
It was discovered by the clergy and lay people after a leak started due to the recent bad weather. Contractors discovered a large quantity of lead was missing.
Police believe people were on the roof on Saturday, November 7.
