Church with a difference at First Lisburn

‘CAFE Worship’ is at 10am each Sunday in the First Lisburn Church Hall in Market Square.

It is church but not as we have known it. Coffee is served with juice for the kids and all are in together, children on bean bags on the middle of the floor, tables and chairs without rows, and a very relaxed, totally free style. The praise is modern, and folk take part each week. It is more about the experience of worship and less about the performance. It suits some families, it can be just the thing for grannies who want to bring their grandchildren with them and it fits with young people. It also suits the young at heart - those who want to see the church alive and kicking. And it is an easy way back to worship if you have gotten out of the habit.

Each week they have a short informal communion with a shared loaf and a cup shared with each other. Above all else it is worship that is real and relaxed and so informal you can be yourself.

For some, cafe worship is not their cup of tea.

For others the aroma of café worship hits the spot. Drop in at 10am to the hall any Sunday and try it for yourself. Stay if you like it.
