Ciaran special guest at St. Peter’s

Kerry all-star Ciaran Donaghy was the special guest at the recent St. Peter’s annual dinner which was held at their club rooms.

Having the Kingdom player in Lurgan was quite a capture for the Whites and their chairman Paul Lavery heaped praise on the Austin Stacks clubman.

Paul said, “Ciaran was extremely professional and to be honest he was the most impressive special guest we have ever had at the Club.

He spent a lot of time with our members, signed all the autographs and was in general very accommodating. We were delighted to have had him.”

St. Peter’s presentation night coincided with the opening of their newly refurbished lounge, a big crowd was in attendance and according to Paul Lavery the club is still in positive mood despite the fact that their senior side were relegated from the First Division.

Paul said, “St. Peter’s are moving forward and we were delighted with the turnout at the annual dinner.

Our youth teams are progressing well and having a top GAA personality like Ciaran Donaghy at the club certainly has provided a further boost.

“It was no surprise to see Aaron Findon picking up the senior player of the year award, while long serving St. Peter’s clubman Joe McDonald received a Lifetime Award.”
