Cigarettes and money stolen during burglary at Tyrone Newsagents

Police are appealing for information following the burglary of a Tyrone Newsagents, in which cigarettes and money were stolen.

Constable Peter O’Rourke said: “It was reported that sometime between 1.15am and 2.30am on July 27 entry was gained to the premises and a quantity of cigarettes and a sum of money were stolen.”

The incident took place on Mountjoy Road, Omagh.

“We are appealing for anyone with information who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area of Bridge Street, Drumragh Avenue or the Bus Depot at that time or have information about the incident or anyone who may be offered similar items for sale in suspicious circumstances to contact police at Omagh on 101 quoting crime reference number 201 of 27/7/2016.

“Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
