City a criminalhotspot
OUTSIDE Belfast most convicted criminals in Northern Ireland jails are from Londonderry and Craigavon.
East Londonderry MLA Gregory Campbell asked Justice Minister David Ford what are the next two urban areas of population, beyond the 12 mile radius of Belfast, for which the highest number of prisoners provided their home address.
Mr Ford replied: “Londonderry and Craigavon are the two urban areas of population outside a 12 mile radius of Belfast which the greatest number of prisoners have provided as their home address.”
