City Cemetery: Restrictions

To facilitate the Derry Down GAA match taking place at Celtic Park this Sunday, 7 June, Derry City and Strabane District Council will have temporary restrictions in place at the City Cemetery.

The Lone Moor Road Gate access will be closed to vehicular traffic from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.

The pedestrian gated access area will, however, be open and vehicular access will be from the Creggan Gate.

The GAA are erecting control barriers at the junction of Brandywell/Lone Moor Road and also at Stanley’s Walk/Lone Moor Road, with stewards to advise commuters travelling along these routes to be aware of the arrangements.

Apologising in advance for any inconvenience caused, the Council spokesperson urged the public to co-operate fully with the stewards.
