City of Derry Fourths beat Donegal Town Seconds

CITY of Derry 4ths had an impressive win over Donegal Town 2nds with a score of 74-3, with strong performances from open side flanker David Gough and two impressive scores from blind side flanker Sean Ashford.

Not to be outdone, prop Richard Gillen scored three tries of his own with some forceful running and determination. Full back William Harkin and Centre Graham Taylor also got on the score sheet.

Centre Philip Duffy, returning from injury, controlled the game superbly and ran in three tries. Hooker Kevin O’Connor, new to the team, had a great game taking at least five balls against the head.

On a day when the ball was moved well and our set piece worked effectively, the game as a contest was over with a score of 55-0 at half time.
