City of Derry team news

THE City of Derry Club Captain Brian Abel was delighted with the performance of the Club teams over the weekend. The Ulster Cup team Captained by John Hancock completed the task of beating Enniskillen by 4 matches to 3 at home, following a 5 matches to 2 away. The team now face Silverwood Golf Club Co.Armagh, the probable dates being 1st Leg away on Sun 6th June and home leg on 13th June.

The Jimmy Bruen team with playing Captain Wyn Donnell, leading qualifiers at City of Derry on 2nd May, congratulated the whole team on an excellent performance in beating Letterkenny 3 matches to 1 with the last match called in. The team are now into the last 16 and entered into an open draw, opponents will be published on the GUI web site on Tues 24th May.

Senior Cup team

Congratulations to the Senior Cup Team, Captained by Jayson McIntyre qualified in 4th place at Strabane on 23rd May and now go into the match play phase.

The Irish Mixed Foursomes Team leading qualifiers at Roe Park now face Foyle Golf Club at Roe Park on Friday 28th May.

Ladies B Intermediate Team Captained by Rosaleen McAnulla, for ladies with H/caps between 16 & 22 had a good victory 3 matches to 1 with the last match called in, over Newtonstewart at Greencastle.
