Civic birthday best wishes for Maud

Birthday best wishes are winging their way from Ballymena Council to Kells resident Miss Maud Nicholl who turned 105 on July 3.

Cllr Beth Adger proposed that a letter of congratulations be sent by the local authority to the centenarian, who she described as “a remarkable lady”.

“She’s clear as a bell...she never was married and she’s still looking for a man!,” said Cllr Adger.
