Clipper winnersto find out whatlegs they’ll race

The successful bursary winners for the forthcoming Londonderry Clipper voyage will officially find out what legs they’ll be racinglater today.

Details of the Clipper race leg allocations for the bursary participants on board the Derry~Londonderry~Doire yacht are due to be revealed by the Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council, Elisha McCallion, at the Guildhall.

The three bursary winners of the Council sponsored bursary scheme (Jilly St John, David Pollock and Conor Shortland) along with the two winners of the Clipper Race’s Voice of Community Scheme, (Shane Brunker and Danny Bryce) will be in attendance.

Final preparations are underway for the start of the Clipper 2015-16 Round the World Yacht Race, which departs from London on August 30, 2015.
