The parade was supported by over 50 bands and Mr Woods praised the “dedication and appetite the band has for these competitions”.

“Clogher Flute Band has a great relationship with the local community of Waringstown and this is helped by the band taking pride in their village where most of them live. This was clearly evidenced at the weekend, when, after the parade was over, the members spent a considerable amount of time cleaning up the village.

“This year’s parade ended around 10pm and as I travelled home with my family the band members were hard at work picking up litter and making sure the streets were left as they had found them,” he said.
