Closing date for pre-school places

The Western Education and Library Board’s (WELB) Transfer and Open Enrolment Section advised parents and guardians to note that only one application form should be completed, with each pre-school provider listed in order of preference.

Some pre-schools are holding Open Days/Evenings for parents/guardians and children.

Parents/guardians wishing to secure a place should contact the Principal/Leader of their first preference Nursery School, Nursery Unit or Pre-School Centre to request an application form and Admissions Booklet – A Guide for Parents/Guardians.

Completed form, together with child’s Birth Certificate, must be returned to the Pre-School Provider by the above closing date. Applications received after this date will be treated as a ‘Late’ application.

Parents/guardians can access the Admissions booklet and application form for each pre-school provider by District Council area, on the Board’s website, www.welbni.rg select Publications, select the Services we offer and select Transfer and Open Enrolment. Copies can also be obtained on request from Board Headquarters or local libraries.
