Cloughmills is buzzing!

The Old Mill in Cloughmills is slowly being rejuvenated into a resource for the whole community thanks to the hard work and dedication of the Community Action Team.

The Community Action Team has transformed the area to the rear of the buildings into a significant community food growing area, complete with polytunnels, yurt, raised beds and composting toilet!

Ballymoney Borough Council has just completed a major entrance feature which now boasts an imaginative playground and planting to enhance biodiversity on the site.

A new boardwalk permits easy access along the river for people of all ages.

The Community Action Team are hosting three events at the Mill which offer the village and wider community an opportunity to explore what’s happening at the site and learn about the overall vision for the area.

Saturday 3rd August – Buzzing in Cloughmills. £10 for residents of Cloughmills; £20 for everyone else.

A five hour seminar on natural beekeeping, find out how we can help these fascinating and useful creatures to thrive as well as survive. About 70% of the crops we eat have been pollinated by bees! 10am to 3pm includes refreshments and light lunch
