Clubworld’s Dawn trips light fantastic for NSPCC

TWINKLE toed Clubworld travel consultant Dawn McCaffrey has helped to raise a sparkling £30,000 for the NSPCC.

Dawn, who works at Clubworld’s award winning Lurgan branch, proved a hit on the dance floor at the ‘Let’s Dance’ extravaganza in Banbridge which took place at the weekend in aid of the charity.

Along with her dance partner Brian Lyness, she performed an iconic dance routine.

For Dawn ‘Let’s Dance’ has been an unforgettable journey. While the first to admit she’s not the greatest dancer in the world she gave it her all.

She said: “We hadn’t much time to rehearse.

“I was away with work to Florida, so we missed a week of rehearsals.”

She and Brian certainly brought the fun factor to the event.

Dawn described ‘Let’s Dance’ as a real team effort: “Everyone has been so helpful and encouraging - we are just like a wee family.

“It’s been a brilliant experience to be part of. All the dancers enjoyed it and, at the end of the day, it’s all about raising money for the charity.”

The travel consultant had plenty of friendly faces in the audience with her family and some of the girls from work along for the night - and knowing the Clubworld girls there was surely no shortage of cheering from her colleagues.

Indeed Dawn confessed: “I’m getting a bit of stick from them, as they know I’m not the best dancer. A lot of last year’s dancers gave us tips.”
