THE team at Co-operative Travel in Ballymena is appealing for Christmas gifts or toys to help fill Santa’s suitcase.

The Co-op Travel staff at Fairhill are getting into the spirit of Christmas with plans to distribute the items they collect to the Salvation Army/St Vincent de Paul.

As well as appealing to customers and members of the public for their support, Co-operative Travel is also hoping other local businesses will help to fill Santa’s suitcase which will be on display in the branch.

Branch manager, June said: “Christmas is a time for giving and for spreading cheer and joy.

“We’re asking customers and members of the local community to help us celebrate Christmas by bringing cheer to a deserving local child who may be sick or less fortunate than other children”.

Co-op Travel is asking for unwrapped gifts so they can be checked for suitability and age range.
