Coach disassociates itself from Facebook comments

A Facebook post made by a promotional company representative allegedly expressed support for the IRA and made a sectarian comment about the driver of the vehicle involved in the incident.

A statement issued on behalf of the Banbridge nightspot said: “The Coach Banbridge will NEVER tolerate sectarian, bigoted or racist abuse.

“The person who made these comments no longer represents either party and their comments do not represent the opinions of the Coach or affiliated business.

“We are an equal opportunity employer and will continue to welcome patrons from all parts of the community.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank our existing patrons for making us aware of this issue as it is of the utmost importance to the Coach Team and its affiliates.”
