Coach fromBallymena to ‘Rally for Life’

PRO-LIFE group Precious Life say there has been a “fantastic response” from the people of the Ballymena to plans for the massive ‘Rally for Life’ in Dublin next month.

A bus has been organised to take local people to the Rally which will take place in Dublin City Centre on Saturday, July 2, and will leave All Saints chapel car park at 10am with a pick-up point at Dunsilly Roundabout, Antrim, at 10.30am.

Over the past few months, Precious Life has been running an intensive promotion campaign for the Rally, including the distribution of thousands of leaflets and posters, street information stalls, and Information Evenings across Northern Ireland.

The Rally, which is now in its fifth year, alternates between Belfast and Dublin each year and in 2011 will assemble at Parnell Square at 2.00pm on July 2 this year before making its way through the city centre, ending at the Dail where the crowd will hear powerful speeches from leaders in the pro-life movement.

Director of Precious Life, Bernadette Smyth said: “The Rally for Life will give the people of Ireland - north and south - a unique opportunity to unite in their opposition to abortion and send out a clear message that we want our unborn children and their mothers protected.

“While the message of the Rally is serious, the event is organised to be suitable for families and people of all ages, with music, colourful t-shirts, and balloons for children.

“I look forward to seeing a large contingent from the Ballymena area at the Rally for Life,” saod Bernadette.

Ballymena folk interested in attending can book their bus seat now by contacting Moira on 07845686437 or the Rally for Life committee on 02890278484.
