Coffee morning in aid of brave Katie

KIRKINROLA Primary School PTA and Kirkinrola Early Years are holding a coffee morning and cake sale this Saturday, in aid of brave four year old, Katie McKnight.

The coffee morning is taking place at Craigywarren Orange Hall from 10.00am to 12.00pm, with all proceeds going to Katie.

In December 2009, Little Katie lost the feeling in her legs which lead to her being diagnosed with Neuroblastoma cancer.

A rare disease that only 80-90 children are diagnosed with in the UK each year.

Last month, doting parents Gareth and Charlene got the devastating news that the cancer was terminal.

Her family want to ensure that her life is filled with fun and happiness and those at the school and Kirkinrola Early Years would like to help them fulfil their wishes.

Katie’s granny, Valeria Beatty has taught at Kirkinrola P.S for 18 years and lives in Randalstown.
