Coleraine Inst hold another successful annual chairty fair

Coleraine Inst wrapped up another successful term with their seventh annual fair on December 19th.

Even the chilly, damp weather conditions didn’t dampen the festive spirit.

A selection of new stalls and activities was welcomed this year, for example, the ‘venison and pigeon BBQ’ that had everyone craving more and the ‘water drinking tournament’ that saw pupils from all years competing with friends to see who could drink a pint of water the fastest.

Along with these new and highly successful activities, the old favourites also returned like the ‘Keepy-up challenge’, ‘Sumo Wrestling’ and ‘Pull-a-cracker’ to name but a few. As per usual one of the main attractions of the day was the penalty shot which saw boys try and score as many penalties as possible.

The total raised this year was a staggering £2054.15 and a huge thanks to all pupils and staff for making this day such a great success. All money from the fair will be donated to Alzheimer’s society in memory of our much loved teacher and colleague, Mr Ian Crown, who passed away suddenly at the start of the school year.
